To Start Things off...

Why don't we begin with the presidential candidates?
Who do you all feel would be good for a presidential candidate?
Who would you like to become president?
Who would you LEAST like to see become president?
All that jazz... It's all open for discussion, feel free to let loose your thoughts. As we've said before, whats the use in being human if we can't voice our opinion?
Cheers,

Daniel,
I have a Hillary for President bumper sticker on the dashboard of my pickup, but I am still undecided. I have been upset that husband Bill has been speaking out against Obama. I thought Hillary was running for president, if that is true, then Bill should stay in the background and let his wife run her own campaign.

Both Obama and McCain are intriguing to me. I am tired of the left wing of the Democratic Party and the right wing of the Republican Party trying to set the agenda for middle class America. Obama is refreshing as a Democrat because he is not promising that government will solve all problems in life; McCain is a Republican who recognizes the necessity of reducing the influence of special interest money in elections. McCain is also a respected veteran who would make an excellent Commander in Chief. I believe that if he were to commit the U.S. to war, he would wage a war to win, unlike the poorly planned Bush invasion of Iraq.

I will have to wait for the primary season to play out before I make my final decision.

I am very excited that by election time, I'll be just old enough to vote.
I had originally wanted Guiliani to win, after all he's done for New York City, especially as he is the person who had to deal with rebuilding New York after the September 11th attacks. Yet after yesterday it seems like he won't be in the election. Instead he will be endorsing John McCain. However, I have no idea what McCain stands for, and he seems too old to run.
The one person who I don't think should win is Hillary Clinton. Not only does she flip-flop on all of her beliefs, but she also relies on winning based on her gender. I do not care if there is a female president but not when that is what they rely on.

I believe Mc cain is the most logical choice because he is the strongest running republican, and Hillary has just proved how nuts Democrats really are, lets build a wall and then patrol it, like the russians did in Germany,That will solve immigration issues then lets completely turn the focus of our campaign because somone wants to give me alot of money. Hilary certainly could never be a decent president, not that women are incapable, but her recent tactics have proved that she only cares about winning, not winning and fully representing the ideals of those who elected her. A republican leader got us in this war, and a republican leader will resolve conflict in the way needed to prevent future incedents.

I am definitely voting for Barack Obama, although thanks to the "inept idiots" (as most of us are calling them) at the Tulare County Registar of Voters, many of us Tulare County college students registered as absentee voters didn't receive our ballots.

Speaking of campaigns, go to www.mustangdaily.net and click "multimedia" to see the audio slideshow the managing editor and I made about Chelsea Clinton's visit to Cal Poly. Sorry for that little promotional plug.

And I'm glad to see blogs up and running!

It's really amazing to see how much of the youth vote is going to Obama. I think this is unfortunate because the decision just seems to be based off of it being the "cool" thing to do. Don't get me wrong, I think he is an intelligent, good-looking gentlemen. Yet Barack Obama is simply TOO inexperienced to run for president of the United States. I mean, his personal resume for president would be this: Two years in the U.S. Senate. Seven years in the Illinois Senate. One loss in a primary election for the U.S. House of Representatives.....Just doesn't seem like a safe candidate to me NO MATTER what party you are. I wish more people would take this into consideration.
